What is chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)?

Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is a type of cancer in which the bone marrow makes too many lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell). Major types of white blood cells include B cells, T cells, and natural killer cells. CLL is a cancer of the B cells with high number of abnormal lymphocytes found in the blood. These lymphocytes grow slowly along with healthy cells.
